Adam Obeng This is the website of Adam Obeng, currently a PhD Candidate and Paul F. Lazarsfeld Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Columbia University in the City of New York, sometime of St. Anne's and Nuffield Colleges in the University of Oxford.
I'm a computational social scientist, data scientist, analytical sociologist, occasional philosopher, and full-time nerd.

Most recently, I've been developing two R packages (quanteda, readtext) for quantitative text analysis, and speaking about them. I've also been teaching statistical programming to biologists in Switzerland and students at Columbia, and writing about survey methodology.

Right now I'm finishing my dissertation, and working on a statistical methodology project about data-dependent analysis.

My Bacon number is 3 and my Erdős number is 4.

My resumé is here.
